Tip reports can be exported into Excel for reporting purposes. Exporting the tips will produce an Excel spreadsheet of any tips that have been sent from the SafeZone App whether they are Open or Closed.
Note: The history of the tips that are produced in the report will depend on the data retention period set in Global Settings - Data Retention
The guide is divided into 3 sections:
Export Tips
To export the list of tips:
- Click on Tips at the top of the screen
- Tap on Export to export the tips to Excel
Excel Export
An Excel spreadsheet will be downloaded to your computer with the history of tips reported through SafeZone. The list below outlines some of the columns in the Excel file.

- Column A displays the status of the tip whether it is open or closed.
- Column B is the date and time that the Tip was reported.
- Column C displays the Tip Category that the tip raiser had selected.
- Column E displays the name of the Command user who resolved the Tip.
- Column F displays any resolution notes from when the tip has been resolved.
- Columns G & H displays the name of the user
- Column I displays the email address
Note: if the user had sent through an anonymous tip, columns G, H and I will be blank - Column J is a clickable link which will open up the tip on-screen in Command.

Opening a Tip from Excel
Note: In order to view all the information from the tip being reported such as the messages included in the tip, it is recommended to have Message History or Message Administrator enabled in your permissions. Please see the guide on Editing user permissions or speak to your SafeZone Administrator to give you access.
It is possible to open up a link in Excel to view the information about the tip in Command.
To open the tip:
- Click on the link in Column J of the Excel export
- A new browser window will open up (you may need to login)
- The tip report will open up on screen
- If you need to go back to the list of tips in Command, click on Back to all Tips at the top
- If you need to re-open the tip, click on Re-open Tip
