Wellbeing messaging once enabled can be accessed by responders through either SafeZone Command, or the chat function in the SafeZone (or OmniGuard) application.
Access Via Command
Wellbeing Chat List
The chat function is available from any screen in the Command web portal. On the right of the screen is a message icon which expands the chat menu when clicked as per the screenshot below:
|
The arrow at the top of the message list allows you to show or hide the current chats |
|
|
The folder with an arrow on it switches from viewing live chats to historical ones (you can click the back arrow to return to live chats) |
|
|
Clicking on any of the items in the list goes to that chat session |
Wellbeing Chat Session
The chat session has the key functions listed below and shown in context
Back arrow at the top to return to the chat list
Edit icon to change settings
Edit participants button to add someone to the chat
Export button to create an Excel summary of the conversation
Box at the bottom of the screen where you enter messages (press the arrow to send or the "Enter" key)

Editing the chat
After pressing the edit icon, you will see a few options including:
- Renaming the session / topic
- Showing Presence of responders joining (this is off as default and is advised to stay that way in most scenarios to avoid overwhelming the end user requesting support)
- Ending the session using the
icon at the top of the section
After making changes, you can click "Save" to confirm or "Cancel" to go back to the chat session.
Ending / Closing the chat
At the end of the session, you can download the details or simply close the chat using theicon.
You will have to click a "Yes" on the confirmation message to close the chat. The chat will be retained up until the limit on chat sessions in Data Retention is reached. Up to full deletion it can be restored from being a "Closed session" (see above for viewing closed sessions).
Access Via SafeZone
The format of the responder chat works the same on Command and the SafeZone app. To access the Wellbeing chat from SafeZone, just click the message icon at the top right of the screen.
