Overview
Twig messages are one of several notification methods available in the SafeZone platform. They can be used on their own or alongside other notification channels including Push Notifications, SMS, Email, Voice Broadcast and Web Feed messages, allowing organisations to communicate with recipients through multiple channels from a single notification.
Twig is a dedicated lone worker device designed for use in environments where a mobile phone may not be practical or appropriate. In addition to allowing users to raise alerts directly to SafeZone Command, Twig devices can receive broadcast notifications sent from SafeZone.
Twig messages are delivered as short text notifications and are well suited to communicating with personnel carrying Twig devices during incidents or operational activities.
Twig messaging is available only for organisations that have integrated Twig devices with their SafeZone environment.
Twig messages can be pre-built into Notification Templates, edited from an existing template, or sent ad hoc using the Notify - New Blank Message feature.
You will need appropriate permissions to create, edit or send Twig messages. See the Access Control guide for more information.
Configuring Twig Messages
Whether you are creating a new blank message, editing an existing template, or sending a template, the Twig configuration options are the same.
- Select Send twig messages to enable Twig as a delivery channel for the notification.
-
Enter the Twig Message.
The remaining character count is displayed above the message field to help you stay within the maximum message length.
Keep Twig messages brief and action-oriented. Focus on the essential information recipients need to understand the situation and any immediate actions they should take.
