Overview
Notify is SafeZone's multi-channel communications platform, allowing authorised users to send targeted and mass notifications to people across their organisation from a single interface.
A single notification can be delivered through one or more communication channels including Push Notifications, SMS, Email, Desktop Notifications, Voice Broadcast, Web Feed publishing, Garmin inReach satellite devices and Twig lone worker devices.
Notifications can be sent as ad hoc messages or using Notification Templates, allowing organisations to standardise communications and respond more quickly during incidents. Templates can also include Substitution Tokens, enabling operators to insert incident-specific information such as campus, building or location names without modifying the template itself.
Notify is fully integrated with SafeZone's Role Based Access Control (RBAC) framework, allowing organisations to safely delegate communication responsibilities while controlling what different users are authorised to do.
Examples include:
- Restricting access to specific notification categories.
- Allowing users to send only approved Notification Templates.
- Controlling which recipients or User Groups can be notified.
- Controlling which communication channels individual users can access.
Notifications can be targeted using one or more of the following methods:
- User Group membership.
- Current location (Push Notifications).
- IP address range (Desktop Notifications).
- Access point connectivity (Desktop Notifications).
User Group membership can be managed manually, synchronised automatically using Microsoft Entra ID (SCIM), or maintained through SafeZone's API.
