Once you have configured the SafeZone buttons in the Global Settings - Help, First Aid and Duress Alert Settings, the buttons will perform the same actions when an alert is raised when a user is inside a region, across all of your regions.
Example 1: Dave's organisation has offices in New York and London with the London office being the main headquarters. His organisation has configured the alert buttons in the Global Settings area for the London office. Dave occasionally travels to New York for meetings. When he is in New York and raises an alert, the Call Security number points to the London team who respond to him.
If your organisation has regions that have different response teams/protocols or in different states/countries, you may want to consider configuring the SafeZone buttons in the Region Groups configuration page to behave differently once a user raises an alert inside a region that is in the region group.
Example 2: Dave's organisation has hired a security response team for the New York office that has a local phone number that they have programmed into SafeZone. If Dave is in need of assistance, he can tap on the alert button. When he presses on the Call Security button it directs him to the New York security response team's phones.
Since the settings menu for each button is the same, the steps below will go through how to configure the Help button in a region group.
To view the Help Call Settings, click on the Help Call Settings link:
By default:
- the Phone number field will display the phone number from the Global Settings - Help Call Settings menu
- each of the 3 settings (Button behaviour, Prompt to call emergency services before raising an alert and Automatically call after raising an alert) will display the settings for the button from the Global Settings - Help Call Settings area.
Hovering your mouse over the Information button will display pop-up messages and informing you that the settings are inherited from the Global Settings. Clicking on the Information button will re-direct you to the Global Settings area.
To edit the Help Call Settings:
- Click on Edit
- Each of the settings allows you to configure the
Phone Number
To configure the Phone number when the SafeZone user raises the alert when inside the region:
- Enter the phone number into the Phone number field
Important: It is recommended that when entering the number, you should ensure you are entering the full telephone number including the international prefix (+1 for USA, +44 for UK, +61 for Australia etc). You will not receive an error message if the number is not entered correctly. If the number does not have the international prefix added and a SafeZone user raises an alert and tries to call the number assigned to the button, the call may not go through to the response team. - If you need to configure other settings, please continue reading the steps below;

Calling the configured number will dial the number entered into the Phone Number setting above. An alert will not be raised in OmniGuard/Command. - Call emergency services

Prompt to call emergency services before raising an alert
This setting prompts the SafeZone app to call emergency services before the alert is raised in OmniGuard/Command. This may be useful if your organisation does not have a response team in the area that the SafeZone user raises the alert in.
Dialling emergency services first will allow the user to get the help they need. The alert can still be raised in OmniGuard/Command so that you have visibility of the alert.

- Select an option from the drop-down menu.
The drop-down menu options allow you to select:- Inherited from Global Settings
The button will behave as configured in the Global Settings - Yes
Selecting Yes will display a prompt asking you to specify how many seconds delay before the system prompts to call emergency services before raising the alert (default is 0) - No
Selecting No will not prompt SafeZone to call emergency services before raising an alert.
