Global Settings - SafeZone App Settings

SafeZone App Settings allows you to configure your organisation's branding of the SafeZone applications and you can configure the Action button appears on the SafeZone home screen (Torch, Tip Reporting, Buses and Information). 

To view the SafeZone App Settings, click on Admin -> Zone Configuration -> Global Settings -> SafeZone App Settings. Here you can configure the:

• Action Buttons
• Banner Image
• Splash Screen Image (Android only)

Action Buttons

By default, the Action Button is set to Torch

To set the Action button to a different feature, the feature needs to be enabled in SafeZone. To configure the Action button:

1. Click on Edit.
   
2. The drop-down menu to select the action button will appear
   
   If the features are not enabled, the drop-down menu will only allow you to set the button to Torch and the other features will be greyed out (as per the screenshot below). SafeZone will direct you to where you need to enable the feature before it becomes available in the drop-down menu.

     Important: Both SafeZone URLs (SafeZone Information URL (out of Region) and Default SafeZone Information URL (in-region)) must be configured in order for the Information button to work.
3. Once you have enabled the feature(s) you wish to set as the Action button, the option(s) will be a selectable option in the drop-down menu:
   
4. Select the option from the drop-down menu.
   
5. Click Save Changes to save and close the editor menu, otherwise click on Discard Changes to discard.
   
6. Once the button has been set, the SafeZone App action button will change to reflect your selection.
   
   

Banner Image

The Banner Image is the logo at the top of the main screen of the SafeZone application.

The file should be a .png file with dimensions of 430 x 80 pixels. SafeZone provides an image template which you can download to use to create your banner.

The background of the logo should ideally be transparent for best appearance (note the app’s background is dark so use lighter colours)

To configure the Banner Image:

1. Click Set Image to upload your organisation's banner.
   
2. Click Choose File and select the file you would like to use.
3. Click Upload Image to upload the image.
4. If the upload is successful, you will see a preview of the logo.
   
5. To choose a different image, select Change Image, or to go back to the original SafeZone logo, click Delete Image.

Splash Screen Image (Android Only)

The splash screen is an image which displays while the app is loading for the first time on an Android device.

The file should be a .png file with dimensions of 1080 x 960 pixels. SafeZone provides an image template which you can download to use to create your banner.

The background of the splash screen image should ideally be transparent for best appearance (note the app’s background is dark so use lighter colours)

To configure the Splash Screen Image:

1. Click Set Image to upload your organisation's splash screen
   
2. Click Choose File and select the file you would like to use
   
3. Click Upload Image to upload the image.
   
4. If the upload is successful, you will see a preview of the splash screen. To choose a different image, select Change Image, or to go back to the original SafeZone logo, click Delete Image.
