Global Settings - Data Retention

Criticalarc complies with GDPR regulations that are put in place in Europe. Organisations globally can now configure how long the system stores different types of information and can be customised based upon your organisation’s policies.

• Alert History days – This allows you to see all the alerts that have been raised by SafeZone users.
• Asset History days - Asset History stores all responder movements, which is used for replaying OmniGuard user movements and generating heatmaps.
• Check – in history days - The Check-in History allows you to generate a list of check-ins (SafeZone users that used the Check-In or Check-In Timer feature) between a requested date period.
• Deleted user days – This is when a user has been deleted but not purged, they will remain as a soft delete until the days run out and they will be hard deleted.
• Message history days – When an alert is raised, this is the two-way chat between the control room and/or OmniGuard users and any SafeZone users who have raised an alert.
• Notifications History days - The Notifications History allows you to generate a list of messages which have been sent through the Notify menu in Command
• Tip history days – Any tips raised in the system by SafeZone users stays in the system.
• Chat History days – This is for the responder messaging feature, which allows chats to be set up ad hoc with SafeZone, OmniGuard and Command users.

To view the Data Retention settings, click Admin –> Zone Configuration –> Global Settings –> Data Retention

By default, all data is set to be stored forever.

To configure the data retention settings:

1. Click on Edit;
   
   
2. Uncheck the Forever tick box for each setting you would like to configure;
   
3. Type in the number of days you would like that type of data to be stored;
4. Click Save Changes to save and close the editor menu, otherwise click on Discard Changes to discard.
   
   
5. If you have saved the settings, you will see a message to inform you that Command has successfully saved the settings.
   
   Note: As per the screenshots in Steps 1 and 2, any changes made here will apply within 24 hours and be applied progressively depending on the volume of data to be removed.
