Overview
User Templates are the mechanism to apply SafeZone's Access Control and User Group configurations to users. Organizations should consider what categories of user they require and set them up as templates. Common examples include:
- SafeZone users ("Default" User Template)
- General First Responders ("Responder" User Template)
- Security Managers / Supervisors
- System Administrators
- User Administration
- Emergency Communications Team
- Wellbeing Team
- Tip Management (optionally filtered by tip type, e.g. Estates and Facilities Reports)
User templates can contain the following:
- Unique Name
- Application Scope (SafeZone, Command, OmniGuard)
- Roles (See Access Control - Roles for more information)
- Security Groups (See Access Control - Security Groups for more information)
- User Groups (See User Groups for more information)
Creating A User Template
- Go to Admin - Users - User Templates and click the "Create User Template" button
- In the pop-up window, give your template a unique name which is easy for User Administrators to understand
- Select every application that user should be able to access:
- SafeZone
- OmniGuard
- Command
- Select the access control roles that they need for their job function.
- Select any Security Groups they should be part of
- Select any User Group membership they should have (for filtering, notifications, etc.)
- Click "Save" to confirm or "Cancel" to go back without making changes.
Deleting A User Template
- Go to Admin - Users - User Templates and click the name of the template you would like to delete
- Press the "Delete" button at the bottom left of the pop-up window
- To confirm deletion click "Delete" or press "Cancel" to go back without saving.
